Microscope Objective Mitutoyo M Plan APO 50x – Microscope objective for maximum magnification in photographic use

The Mitutoyo M Plan APO 50x is an infinity-corrected microscope objective with a fixed magnification ratio of 50:1. It is the right choice for photographic applications in which extremely small structures must be made visible and documented with the highest precision. Despite its enormous magnification, the objective delivers high optical performance and very good correction. Because of this exceptional imaging quality, we also use it for the most demanding focus-stacking applications in extreme micro photography.

The 13 mm working distance requires an especially precise setup, but at the same time opens access to image worlds that can no longer be reached with conventional macro lenses. At this level, exact positioning of the focal plane is critical in order to produce finely stepped image sequences for high-resolution stack results.

For use on cameras with full-frame and APS-C sensors, the optional MICRO-TUBE M26 with permanently integrated achromatic lens is required. We also recommend the matching ASTAT-MICRO support collar and a camera-specific adapter. For use with Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X medium-format cameras, the universal bellows unit BALPRO 1 is additionally required.
