4R Production Principle

For almost 80 years, we have been manufacturing photographic accessories from metal – precisely, durably, and with respect for people, materials, and the environment. Our goal has always been to create products that last for generations. With the 4R principle, we summarize this commitment in four values that guide our actions: Resource-saving, Recyclable, Repairable, and Regional. By investing in our products, customers are not only acquiring high-quality technology but also supporting sustainability and responsibility.

Resource-saving

Our manufacturing relies on proven materials, precise machining, and continuous optimization of every step in the process. Where others waste raw materials, we gain efficiency and experience. Through careful planning, durable construction, and short transport routes, we avoid waste and unnecessary energy use – from the first sketch to the finished product. The result: high-quality components made with a focus on what truly matters.

Recyclable

We use only pure metals that can be easily recycled at the end of their long lifecycle. What is an adapter today can become part of a new tripod tomorrow – material remains valuable. Our packaging follows the same principle: minimal, recyclable, and reusable.

Repairable

A damaged product is not considered disposable. We design our products so that individual parts can be repaired or replaced – often even after many years. This philosophy stands in clear contrast to the throwaway mentality of cheap mass-produced goods. Repairing conserves resources and preserves proven quality.

Regional

Made in the Allgäu region – by choice. Short distances mean direct quality control, fair working conditions, and close collaboration with regional partners. This ensures not only quality but also preserves know-how and jobs in our region – instead of relying on anonymous global supply chains.
